"It was me and the wife's anniversary so we decided to treat ourself. We went here without a reservation, but they made a spot for us outside. The table was small and flimsy but it worked. So the food was really good, our waitress Emily was very prompt and attentive. The truffle butter was amazing, as was the horseradish sauce. The flat stone plate was really neat, but the juices run off it easily and got all over my pants lol. The price is pretty high, for my wife, my daughter and my self the bill was around 250$, it was 300 after the tip. IMO, it's definitely worth the experience, the food is very good, the service is excellent but the prices seem a bit steep. But we would go back again if we are ever in Madison."

"I had the pleasure of dining at River Oak Chophouse in Madison, Indiana, and it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a rustic-chic decor that set the tone for a great meal. Our server, Cody, was outstanding - attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He helped us navigate the menu and made excellent recommendations. The food was outstanding - I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The sides were equally impressive. One thing to note is that they do charge an extra $5 for splitting a meal, which was a minor surprise. However, the generous portion size made it well worth the additional fee. What really stood out, however, was the service. Cody checked in on us frequently, refilling drinks and ensuring everything was to our liking. Overall, I would highly recommend River Oak Chophouse to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Madison. The combination of great food, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere makes it a must-visit. "A large group of myself and my girlfriends ate here over the weekend and all enjoyed delicious meals! Our server was great as were our drinks and food. Almost all of us got steaks and they were tender! Several also enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and the salads were amazing! A couple people said their steaks were overcooked and needed more flavor so we added some of their house made sauces. Would definitely go back!"

"We had a wonderful experience at River Oak Chophouse. I made reservations in advance and we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and our waitress, Paige was absolutely wonderful. River Oak Chophouse offers the perfect atmosphere for a special occasion or romantic evening out. Soft music, warm lighting, and an elegant dining area. Everything was timed perfectly and this was one of my top fine dining experiences. Our food was heavenly and cooked to perfection. (Please see the photos I posted) While they have a number of choices on the menu, make sure you ask about their dinner specials. I would would highly recommend River Oak Chophouse and you won't be disappointed!"
